The Tuxedo Historical Society is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization formed in 1982 with the mission is to foster awareness of the community's heritage by collecting, preserving and exhibiting materials and presenting programs that document life, past and present, in the Town of Tuxedo and its communities.
It is through membership and generous donations such as yours that we are able to sustain our operation. Please consider supporting our efforts through a donation from your business or work's matching gift programs, as well as becoming a member.
Your membership dollars help care for and improve our building, preserve our collection, and support programs for education and enjoyment.
Membership entitles you to a 10% discount on items such as special area books and ornaments as well as discounted tickets to designated events.
Benefactor, Patron, Supporter, and Donor includes two memberships and invitations to special events and receptions.
While these are significant benefits, the real benefit is in helping to preserve Tuxedo's rich history for future generations. Your participation is crucial to this endeavor.

Events are made possible by our generous volunteers. As we are increasing our programming, we need more volunteers. We are looking for volunteers who can do data entry, photo scanning, building maintenance, work on membership drives, assist with setting up exhibits, applying for grants, arrange for guest speakers, website maintenance, or community outreach. We try our best to pair volunteers with their area of interests and appreciate the time our volunteers offer to Tuxedo Historical Society.
